Today is Payments birthday. Her day started by getting to sleep in until she wanted to get up out of bed. Then we got ready and headed out downtown. She really likes the people that work at her vets office "Brentford Clinic", and they just love her. Then we went to PetSmart where she got her nails done. A nice hot pink color to match her outfits for this weekend. Then we stopped off and Concord Pets and purchased Pup Pie, some cookies, organic yogurt. The next stop was to pick up some balloons for her birthday. We then headed home to celebrate with the other dogs. We arrived at home and took some photos with some birthday props. Then all the dogs got to dive into some treats. She is now resting nicely and thinking about her big day in NYC at the BARC Event. Lots of great friends there an celebrity dogs to mix and mingle with. Here are some photos from her big day.

Pet Fashion Week NYC 09

This was our first year that Payments and I attend the Pet Fashion Week in NYC. I have nothing to compare it to but many said it was very small, not all the vendors showed up. What I saw was great, but I was really looking forward to the fashion show part of the event. They didn't have it this year. Well maybe next time. I enjoyed meeting up with many of my facebook friends. Payments posed for many pictures. We just loved the ladies from Pepper & Tany from California. They were so nice to give us samples of doggie perfumes. Rick Caran was there and it was great to hang out with them for a while. Nice to see Karen and Eli, oh and don't forget Ada! She always has so much energy.

We are so EXCITED!!!! Payments is entered in her first NYC Chihuahua Pageant this weekend. She is the 19th entry out of 20 Chihuahuas competing. We have been spending this week training and practicing tricks for the contest, and picking out her outfits to wear in three catagories. This is going to be so much fun. Good luck to us.

The Pawfect Pet Boutique/Bakery to open in 2009

We are excited for the prospects that the 2009 Year will bring to our growing family. We have decided to open a Dog Boutique/Bakery.

We will carry designer beds, leashes, carriers, collars, and clothes. Gourmet dog treats, spa products and unique pet gifts and for the owners who love them so much as well. Greeting cards, magazines and anything that a customer comes in to make a personal request. Stay tuned to see the Grand Opening.

Pet Expo at the Abbotsford Tradex

I have been busy spending money on props, signs, pictures, table cloth, banner etc........for my booth at the Abbotsford Tradex Pet Expo. Payments will be there on display and I have decided to sell Peaches. Having five Chihuahuas is getting a bit overwhelming for me. Since there is a 10 year old, a full time job and an up coming wedding in Aug 8 08 in Las Vegas. YEAH!!! Back to the expo, we will be at booth 309 if anyone is interested in stoping by to say Hi and see Payments.

Soda Pop & Pork Chop are having puppies!!!

Hello all,

31 March 2008 is the due date for Soda Pop to have her first litter. We are all extremely thrilled as we have had some trouble getting her pregnant. After two false pregnancies it is all over and we are on the road to puppyhood. She goes for x-rays on the 26th so we can see how many puppies she will be having and helps us get prepared for the up coming litter. Come back soon to see the birth announcements. Payments the new edition to the family

I have to tell you, I am so proud of this little girl that I bought. She is really my pride and joy of the bunch. Not that I don't love all my dogs. I have spent so much time and years looking for this blue Chihuahua that is what makes it more special because I can't believe that I finally got her. We have started to get her into pet modeling. So she goes on photo shoots. I have entered her in all kinds pet photo contests. She has placed second in one already and is a semi finalist going for a $1000. She is being published in a book as well.

We are on our way to Abbotsford BC for a pet expo at the tradex at the end of March. I am confident we will leave there with more work for Payments.

I have included in this blog some pictures of her 13 Feb 2008 photo shoot. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have.

Here is a story behind Payments name. Hi my name is Payments, I'm a 5 month old blue smooth coat Chihuahua. Funny story behind my name, well not so funny if you were me. My mom named me Payments because she lives in Canada. She saw my ad online and bought a ticket to rush down to Utah to purchase me and fly me back to my new forever home in a much warmer Canada. When I got home I was scared because I had never been out of my playpen at my last home. So my new mom let me sleep with her in bed to stay close to her and feel comfortable and loved. I woke up and fell off the bed the first night there. I was rushed to the vets office, in shock, swelling and water on my brain. Because I was so small they couldn't get an IV in my legs so they put one in my neck. I really needed that medicine to get better, as soon as that was put in my body I snapped out of it and was all better. Starving for sure, I ate almost a whole can of Medical dog food!! So after all that, about an 8 hour ordeal, she received a large bill to add to the costs of going to the USA to adopt me. That is how I got my name. I now have four other Chihuahuas to run around with and play my favorite game is TAG!! She really spoils me too, I have very little hair and body fat so I am always cold and wear lots of different clothes. She heats up a neck half circle heating pad in the microwave and I curl up next to that in my warm and fuzzy doom bed with my teddy. The other dogs like it to and usually crowd over me, smothering me under the pile of fur.

I have been extremely busy this past year. Not a very good excuse for not keeping up the blog but an excuse all the same. First I have to say I am very pleased that Apple Sauce had a large litter of 5 puppies. Four boys and one sweet girl. All boys have been adopted out and I have kept the female. Which I have named Peaches. Very sweet girl, with a loud bark for such a small girl. More later on the puppies.

Success with Love

It has been a busy week for me. A colleague from work asked to breed her Tia with my Porkchop. We had success in breeding them and I can't wait to see how many puppies she has and what they all look like. Tia is Shitzu and Chihuahua mix and my Porkchop is PB Chihuahua. In May I will be able to breed Porkchop with my own pup, Sodapop. Apple Sauce hasn't come into heat yet for her first time. She is now 10 months old too. I guess that is good then I won't be having two litters at the same time. That will be really exciting when the pitter-patter of little feet are running around. I know I will want to keep them all. I think my son will take it the hardest.

Now for some love in my own life. My boy and I are off to go to a bridal show in an hour. It will be nice to have him there with me so we both can talk and plan this. My father has passed away and I want him to give me away. It will make it really special to have his input and by my side.

Porkchop the Little Stud

It has been a busy start to the New Year. There has been three losses of life since the New Year for me. First I was shocked to hear Bobby Hamilton Sr.(NASCAR driver) had past from throat cancer, then my own father past away from heart failure and another shocker was that Benny (BP) Parsons (past NASCAR drive and sports commentator) had lost his battle with lung cancer. Not the start of the year I was looking for. I am greatful to have my son and my very loving boyfriend (fiance) by myside through it all. I have started to advertise Porkchop for stud. I have one date set up for him in the next couple of days. Here is a copy of the ad I have submitted online. It's cute in my opinion.

One year old handsome 6.5lb good temperment and dispostion Chihuahua for stud. Porkchop is looking for a girl with nice manners, sincere, likes to laugh and a great body for a romantic date and more. Don't all rush girls there's lots of me to go around. Don't let the white hair fool you. I have some chocolate spots. I forgot to mention my sleak body to add to the package.

I had alot of funny putting that together. I know it fits him well, he is a real ham.

I would like to caution people purchasing items on the internet. I recently bought a beautiful lavender girl long hair Chihuahua to add to the family. I was told in the description that she was in perfect condition. When I received her she was much less than perfect. She had a profound overbite which could lead to health issues later for her, not to mention pain and lots of money for vet bills. I hope none of this happens but you never know. I have been trying to get some money back from the breeder for selling a less then perfect puppy and not disclosing the overbite. I have now opened up a dispute through paypal and puppyfind for this faudulent sale. I hope it gets resolved quickly. Just ask lots of questions ahead of time I recommend.

My loving partner has made me promise to not purchase anymore puppies for a while. Since he is my future I will honor that promise. I am so proud of him for everything he is and does throughout his career in the USAF and can't wait to wake up everyday next to him, look into his eyes and say "Good Morning Husband," and have him reply "Good Morning Wife."

Back to Porkchop, I am sure he is going to be enjoying himself soon. Heading off to work for his mommy. What an awesome baby boy, I couldn't have been blessed with a better puppy.

Staying safe in this world

Today I received an e-mail from a friend serving overseas. He lost his roommate on Monday. It was a sad e-mail and shocked me as I am always joking and making fun with him. Truly forgeting the harms way he and others are really in. Forgetting the sacrifices others make for us to move about freely and safely amoung this world. I really wish I could protect everyone. Sometimes I feel helpless I can't. Today my loving and caring boyfriend is flying off to Las Vegas. I always worry and get chills when I know he has to fly somewhere. I never leave the house until I get that much awaited phone call that he is safe on the ground again. But is he truly always safe? I can't protect everyone but I sure want to try. Fly safe honey and know I will always be waiting to hear your voice on the other end of the phone. Love today, tomorrow and forever. That's all for now. Hi all,

I have now made my first sale. I currenly had my first set of Chihuahuas for sale. I sold on long hair and currently have 3 short hair male Chihuahuas. It has been a real test with 8 dogs at once. Rotating them around for pee breaks as some don't like each other. In all it have been fun to play with them and get to know their personalities. It is always hard to see them go but it has to be done. I look at it that they will bring much love and joy to their new home as they do their short stay with me. I must say I have to thank my loving boyfriend who is very supportive of my and my business. He is a great man and a great friend. To you I thank you and love you with all my heart and sole. Long hot weekend

Now that Sunday has come around and I have to go back to work tomorrow, it is hard to believe I had a weekend off. I spend 16 hours, yes, you read it correctly 16 hours creating a website that I hope everyone will be happy with. I have never done something like this before so it was a long and painful process. But that is the price of doing business unless you want to pay someone else to do it. I quite enjoyed it. Getting my mission and message out there to people who want my puppies. I am really looking forward to the first batch of puppies to arrive. My vet is really excited to and thinks they are very beautiful dogs.
